Precious in His sight

Do not let your adorning be external - the braiding of hair, the wearing of gold, or the putting on of clothing - but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious (1 Peter 3:3-4)

Refreshed, loved & overflowing with joy

Easter is such a wonderful time to reflect on the death and glorious resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Scott mentioned last night that "the Christian faith stands or falls on this one fact. And if Christ did not rise from the dead then we Christians are to be pitied the most (1 Cor 15)". These are strong words… but the wonderful news to us who believe in our hearts because the fact is He did conquered the last enemy standing - death!

It turned out to be quite a weekend of celebration indeed. We were swarmed with kids in Youth group on Friday night. ‘Battle of the sexes – Pictionary’ was so much of fun but left us a little deaf by the end of it (from all the screaming and laughter): "The letter H? Chair? ChAIR?! No, no… A man sitting? SitTING?! Wait… it looks like Toilet bowl. TOILET BOWL?!?" Now... multiply that same sentence by 10 little girls because they seem to repeat what each other says.

We had a BBQ @ the park on Saturday. There was plenty of food, playing with the lil’ ones, doggies, kicking the soccer ball around, game of frisbee and just a really lovely & encouraging time catching up with each other.
After church on Easter Sunday, the Orkeys so generously invited Di, Ash & us for lunch at their home. We had Vietnamese and it was good! Learned to play Poker and came to see that none of us have what people call a "poker face". Al, Appy & I then headed off to church for some ‘jamming’ session with Andy, S&V before night church. The jamming session was… emancipating, joyous… being able to sing praises to God at the top of our lungs without a care in the world.
