WKC weekend

Women's Katoomba Convention (WKC) or... I have heard some interesting alternative for the name: "KFC" describes it just as well (Katoomba Female Convention)!

17 of us CBC girls went up to Katoomba on the weekend to join the other 2,200 odd women for a challenging & great time. Not to mention this is only the first weekend, another 2000+ women will be going up this coming weekend.

Despite the very cold weather (it was a low 5 degrees in the mountains), the talks & the fellowship were great. It was especially encouraging to have so many men give up their weekend to help with catering & parking. They were there directing us in the parking lot (in the rain & cold), making sure we don't spin our wheels... ;) woman drivers!

Maxine's talk on prayer and Greta's talk on approaching the throne with confidence because of what our Great High priest has done for us was bold, exciting, and so full of truth. The weekend away was exactly what I needed to feed my dry soul. It was wonderful to have God teach us so much and the fellowship was great!
